Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini has admitt he and his team-mates were shock by the club’s decision to sack Jose Mourinho at the same time last year and revealed the players wanted him to stay.

However, Pinto tells us it was just a rumour, but it ultimately turn out to be not, as Mourinho was officially sack on January 16.
“I had the best time of my career with Jose. We spoke on the phone right after he was sack and I wanted to clarify my position with all the nonsense that goes around the world. He understands. Mourinho is an incredible guy. He inspires you.”
