Hamburg celebrates first promotion back to the Bundesliga in 7 years, with several fans injured

Hamburg returned to the Bundesliga for the first time in seven years after a 6-1 drubbing of Ulm on Sunday, with the Blues’ fans celebrating wildly, leaving 20 people injured and one seriously injured.

The celebrations quickly turned เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย into chaos, with Hamburg firefighters having to respond in large numbers as the situation deteriorated rapidly, with 44 fans requiring medical treatment and 20 taken to hospital, one of whom was in serious condition after jumping from the stands of the Volksparkstadion.

Hamburg said that most injuries occurred when fans jumped from the stands into the infield.

“Considering the overall situation and the pitch invasion we have a manageable number of injuries,” event manager Jan Groninger said in the statement.

“The good cooperation between the security forces and the many level-headed fans ultimately ensured that things calmed down quickly after the storming of the pitch. We wish the injured a speedy and speedy recovery”

Hamburg, one of Germany’s most successful clubs, won three Bundesliga titles, three DFB-Pokals, a Cup Winners’ Cup and a European Cup after beating Juventus in 1983 before returning to the Bundesliga for the first time since their relegation seven years ago.
